How Anabolic Steroids Can Ruin Your Life
This article on how anabolic steroids can ruin your life is just one of countless anecdotes that could be mentioned about the side effects of taking steroids. We have just randomly selected one of many different stories that so many young men and even teenagers taking steroids will go through.
It should be explained that we have not gone into any detail on how and why the side effects from taking steroids are inevitable. The rather complex hormonal balance required for healthy muscle growth is impaired and the end result will actually be less muscle, worse health and other endocrine problems like kidney and liver failure that are not mentioned.
The specifics of the case mentioned below is from a power-lifter/bodybuilder that we are going to call Joey just to make it easier to follow. Joey had been training as a power-lifter since he was in high school and although he only started taking steroids the year after he left school he got strong fast.
Competing in the 190lbs class Joey bench-pressed 555lbs once at a competition which placed him 36th in the USA for bench press. Today Joey has managed to stop taking steroids and at 42 years old he tells us about the side effects that he had to deal with from taking steroids.
The top of his list was gynecomastia or "Bitch tits" for which he took Nolvadex to help the lactating breast nipple and the cracking and bleeding that he had to deal with when not standing onstage or competing as a power-lifter. Gynecomastia is very common in steroid uses because of the over-abundance of the testosterone floating around the body starts balancing testosterone with estrogen.
Joey also experienced rage, depression, loss of sex drive, kidney and liver problems, etc. In the end his wife left him taking his children, he lost his job and was on the verge of being homeless. He finally quit taking steroids and now warns people about the dangers and side effects of using anabolic steroids.
It needs to be added that Joey was taking HGH injections as well as some serious other steroids like Winstrol to help cut body-fat when he competed as a bodybuilder. Joey would use Anadrol (oxymetholone) to bulk up in the off-season; Joey quickly got caught between size and muscle.
Unfortunately Joey eventually got caught into that well-known steroid conundrum. Bulking up, cutting down, and then requiring a brief cycle off. The problem is that it just continues until the side effects become too aggressive. The side effects of taking steroids will ALWAYS be bigger than any juicer's bodybuilding trophies.
